No Spoiler Review: Jurassic World Dominion

No spoilers, but we still going in!

Article by Brandon the Hero Guy

I’ll Always be Down for a Dinosaur Movie!

Jurassic World Dominion is the 6th and Final film for the franchise it’s written and directed by Colin Trevor’s and stars Sam Neil, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Jeff Golblum, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, OmarSy, Dewanda Wise, Campbell Scott and Isabella Serman.

This movie takes place after the events of Fallen Kingdom. The Dinosaurs from Isla Nublar have been released into the mainland, and are coexisting with both humans and modern-day mammals.

This creates an ecological breakthrough with a mixture of chaos due to some of the dinosaurs causing mass panic, others being sold to black markets, or making their territories in nearby cities and towns as well as being across the globe.

Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) are in hiding with the Genetic Human Clone Maisie they come across The Velociraptor Blue and her offspring Beta which Blue somehow produces on her own and things get out of hand when both Maisie and Beta get captured by poachers that work for the organization Biosyn.

Both Owen and Claire along with the Alan Grant, Dr. Sadler, Ian Malcom, and the new character Kaya Watts (Dewanda Wise) go to Biosyn to rescue both Maise and Beta. All while trying to prevent and ecological disaster that can cause the extinction of all species.

1st off the story felt as if this movie needed to be separated into two parts due to the writers mixing two different stories together. I understand what other viewers were saying when the movie was debuted for early screenings, but all in all the story wasn’t difficult to follow. It was pretty slow at times.

Never Too Much Jurassic Park!

One of the main things I enjoyed about this movie is that we got to see the aftermath of what happened after Falling Kingdom, with dinosaurs running lose all over the planet. The Earth is truly turned to a Jurassic World, and the best moments from this movie are the dinosaurs.

We got to see both old and very new species, which was a big surprise. My favorites were definitely the Naureoceratops, Theriznsaursu, and the Giganatosaurus as well as the Atrociraptors these dinosaur species definitely stole the show especially the T-Rex.

The cast was spot on in their roles it was very nostalgic to see the original three back on screen and crossing over with the new Jurassic World characters brought back so many memories of the original trilogy.

This movie had a lot of callbacks and Easter eggs. Paying homage to the original 3 movies as well as the references to the both Islands of Nublar and Sorna. Also, the character, Maisie, has a lot more about her backstory than we thought we knew in Fallen Kingdom.

This really expands a lot of aspects of Jurassic Park which was a huge surprise also the character Kayla Watts (Dewanda Wise) was definitely one of my main favorites not only she was a trained veteran but also incredibly knowledgeable on Dinosaurs as well.

The action sequences in this movie are highly entertaining especially with the dinosaurs. We get to see some bits and pieces from the beginning, but things really don’t shake down until the 3rd act which is always the main finale.

Jurassic World Dominion was definitely a good summer movie to kick-off the summer flick season. It isn’t a perfect movie, but still entertaining and a very memorable experience.
