Full Review: Pokémon Journeys Episode 125

This Match was Insane!

Article by Brandon the Hero Guy

An epic battle that spanned the entire episode

The moment has finally arrived episode of 125 of Pokémon Journey’s Masters 8 was definitely worth the wait. This was one of the most anticipated episodes among Pokémon fans.

Episode 125 brought us the most insane match out of all the battles throughout this arc so far. The main standout was Ash’s Mega Lucario, who was The MVP of this entire episode.

It held its own against Dynamax Togekiss in the first half due to its training with Greninja in the Kalos region, where Lucario learned how to bond it’s Aura with Ash’s.

Also, Togekiss gave Lucario a rough time on the battlefield with its flying type moves and Dynamax ability, which pushed Lucario and Ash past their limit; It seemed impossible for Ash to reach that level.

A battle for the record books

But the biggest match was finally seeing Lucario and Garchomp going all out. It was incredible to see, and worth the wait. These two traded a mass number of blows with their move sets, and this is the 1st time we’ve seen Cynthia pushed this far.

Not to mention the animation was very well done, and it’s understandable why we didn’t get to see Leon and Diantha battle it out. Looks like they saved the budget for Ash and Cynthia’s battle.

Ash Ketchum made history today in beating one of the strongest trainers in the Sinnoh Region and in the Pokémon anime. This episode showed how much he’s grown as a character and the development was perfection.

Seeing this battle brings back so many memories of the original Diamond and Pearl video games on the DS.

Now I’m really excited for Ash’s 6 on 6 match with Leon in the next episode which will be huge. So, without further ado I give Pokémon Journey’s episode 125 10/10
